Yesterday I was waiting at my School for some paperwork to come through, and decided to borrow a book from the library and sit on the School lawn outside. As I was engrossed in reading about municipal bonds, this barely 16-year old girl in shorts runs to me and says "Can I take your picture please?"
Me: "Sure, but why do you want my picture?"
She: "I love Columbia. Maybe one day I'll be sitting here reading some book".
Click!
She vanished as fast as she'd come - the whole conversation was like 20 seconds. I was so touched and inspired by her. At 16, she is chasing her dreams and with what passion! Ah, the power of inspiration. May she get what she wants!
You never know. She might have thought that Oh my God. I love Columbia. people just seem to sit around on lawns reading and relaxing :)
